Mary Runger

Mrs. Mary Runger works as an educator and pastoral minister in the
Chicago suburbs.  Her focus has been on morality and chastity
education for teens and on adult faith formation through book seminars
and Bible study groups. She has held a number of leadership positions
in the Diocese of Joliet and in her parish, St. Margaret Mary,
Naperville, IL as well as at Benet Academy, Lisle, IL.

Mary is a founding board member of the Notre Dame Alumni Club of
Greater DuPage, and served as the Community Service Coordinator. She
is a recipient of the Alumni of the Year Award that acknowledged her
efforts to begin “Christmas in April”, a volunteer organization that
has rehabbed homes in Aurora, IL over the past 20 years.

Mary is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Class of ’84, with
a BS in Pre-Professional Studies.  She also earned a Masters of
Leadership in Family Ministry from Dominican University in River
Forest, Illinois.

Mary lives with her husband, John (University of Notre Dame, Class of
’84) in Lisle, IL, and they have six children, ages 18-29. Her
interests include travel, fitness, golf, and works of charity to those
in need.
