He has already climbed six of the world’s “7 Summits.” Everest is John’s final and 7th summit, and he is climbing it to raise funds and awareness for Andean Health and Development’s new hospital project in Santo Domingo, Ecuador.
John left today to start the trek to base camp with his brother and his son, a New York Times writer, who will document the trip in this summer’s edition of Notre Dame Magazine. The entire excursion will take two months.
If John in fact summits Everest, he will be the 100th person to climb all 7 summits, including New Guinea’s remote Carstensz Pyramid.
We are thrilled to have John Rudolf on the AHD team! Stay posted on his progress by going to www.johnrudolf7summits.com.
